Career
Before earning her library degree, Ms. Smith worked part-time as a Library Technician at the Baltimore County Public Library while holding a full-time job at an investment firm in Towson, MD. While earning her degree at Pitt, she had the opportunity to work in almost every library department while on rotation as a Graduate Student Assistant. Her first professional position was as a Faculty Reference Librarian at Hillman Library (University of Pittsburgh), where she first developed her instruction skills. Ms. Smith came to UB in August 2004 from Loyola/Notre Dame Library in Baltimore.
