The name of a particular software package or programming language

University of Maryland System Catalog - Allows you to search for items owned by any library in the system. Items not owned by UB can be borrowed directly or sent to Langsdale for you to borrow. See the guide to the UM System Catalog.

NetLibrary [on-campus] [help]
Coverage: Varies. A collection of E-texts covering specifically chosen by Maryland Academic Libraries. Funded by the Maryland Digital Library (MDL).

WorldCat [on-campus] [help]
Coverage: Varies. International database of collections (including books, journals , dissertations, documents, and other materials) held by libraries worldwide. Maryland libraries that own copies of the items display at the top of the list of libraries so you can easily determine if local libraries own the material needed. Records of any type of material cataloged by OCLC member libraries. Includes manuscripts written as early as the 12th century.

Coverage: 1970 - present. Indexes many computer and IT related journals and magazines.

Computer Database [on campus]
Coverage: 1980 to present. Use this database to find computer-related product introductions, news and reviews in areas such as hardware, software, electronics, engineering, communications and the application of technology.

Association for Computing Machinery. - Much of the information on this website is only availabl to members, but there are plenty of articles, bibliographies and other information available to everyone.

CNET - A commercial oriented site, with a lot of articles, product reviews, software downloads and more.
