Grantsmart.org  

This database currently contains 646,923 tax returns filed by 105,629 private foundations and charitable trusts. The data is supplied to us in raw form by the IRS and is updated on a continuing basis. Our most recent update contained tax returns filed in December 2006. These tax returns are by law, public records. We hope you find them useful.

Internet Nonprofit Center   Contains information on more nonprofits than any other site in the world. Provides a forum for discussing issues in the nonprofit sector, volunteerism and fundraising.
CharityVillage   Candian site that includes links to organizations, online resources and government agencies around the world.
Better Business Bureau's Philanthropic Advisory Service   Intended for the use of donors looking for information on specific charities.
Idealist   A project of Actions without Borders, this site offers a global directory of 10,000 nonprofit groups' web site. Searches may be made by organization name, location or programs offered.
National Center for Nonprofit Boards   The only nonprofit organization dedicated to building stronger nonprofit organizations.
National Charities Information Bureau   Promotes informed giving and charitable integrity. Organization provides standards for charities and website provides information on charities.
Philanthropy Journal   A free online news publication published by the A.J. Fletcher Foundation in Raleigh, North Carolina. It covers state, national, and international news about fundraising, giving, managing, volunteering and technology in the philanthropic and nonprofit community. They also have job postings and a free weekly e-mail bulletin.
The Nonprofit Resource Center   Links to sources of legal informaton, fund raising, consultants, and state associations of charities among others.
