What is PowerPoint?
PowerPoint is a presentation software program and is included as part of the Microsoft Office package. It is available on all campus computers, including those in labs, the library and the laptops avaialble from OTS. PowerPoint allows users to create presentations. It is relatively easy to use, but requres some skill and practice to master.
This guide will provide information about the basics of PowerPoint and offer tips on how to improve your presentations.

Microsoft Office PowerPoint Tutorial
This video (with audio) walks users through PowerPoint basics and is a great resource for new users and can serve as a refersher for vetrans.
Penn PowerPoint Tutorial
This resource, from the University of Pennsylvania Libraries, lets users view a text tutorial on PowerPoint, or learn about a specific feature, using the navigation bar on the left.
FGCU PowerPoint Tutorial
This tutorial, from Florida Gulf Coast University, is similar to the one from Penn. Users can read about how to use specific features in PowerPoint, including adding new slides, adding charts and editing slide animation.
