Netscape/Mozilla
Right click on the link below, and select "Bookmark this link"
UM Library Lookup

There should now be a bookmark that reads "UM Library Lookup"

Using the bookmarklet:
  1. Search for a book on a bookseller's website.
  2. Click on the book you want, so that information about that specific title is on the page.
  3. Click on the UM Library Lookup link in your browser's favorites/links (IE) or bookmarks (Netscape) menu
  4. A new window should open with the results of a search for this book in the UM Catalog
How it works:
On the sites of most online booksellers, when you view the record for an individual book, the URL will contain the ISBN number of that book.  The bookmarklet looks for the ISBN number in the URL and does an ISBN search in the University of Maryland catalog. Sometimes, paperback and hardcover versions of a book will have different ISBN numbers, so this lookup may miss items in alternative formats.  In general it is best to use the hardcover version of a book if available.
