Good resource for oral histories

In the First Person is a database created by Alexander Street Press with indexing of 2500 oral history collections. One may do a general key word search, although the "Find Collections" or "Search Interviews" advanced search seems to offer more targeted results. Collections include two from our own Langsdale Special Collections.

New Pew Report: How Men and Women Use the Internet

The Pew Internet & American Life Project released a new report at the end of December that highlights trends in Internet use among men and women. Some good news: although women's Internet use still lags behind that of men, women are catching up.

To find out more, you can go the summary page (http://www.pewinternet.org/PPF/r/171/report_display.asp), or go right to the PDF file: http://www.pewinternet.org/pdfs/PIP_Women_and_Men_online.pdf
