NEW: Black History Month Resources Page

In celebration of Black History Month, Langsdale Library is highlighting works that touch on this year's theme: “From Slavery to Freedom: Africans in the Americas." We have also highlighted some other works by or about African-Americans that may be of interest.

Here's a link to the page: http://langsdale.ubalt.edu/howto/bhm_guide.htm

You can also get to this guide and others by looking under the gray Use It menu on the library's homepage; click on Research Help by Discipline.

Renovation Ceremony Postponed

Due to the possibility of inclement weather on Feb 14, the celebration of Langsdale's renovation scheduled for Wednesday, Feb 14 has been postponed. But do not despair; the event will be rescheduled for a warmer date in April to be announced later. Plus, if you still stop by this week you can still register for our daily drawing for a $25 gift certificate to the bookstore.

Valentine's Day will go on as scheduled as well.

Tables are finally in

The last of the new computer tables for the first floor have finally arrived. Most of the computers have been installed on them already, although a few more still need to be added. Plenty of people have been using the space already though and we have received a lot of positive comments about Langsdale's new look.

If you have not had a chance to see us, you can stop by Feb 12-18 for "Langsdale Renovation Week"and enter a daily drawing for a $25 gift certificate. Be sure to check out our new computer work area (with lots of windows), group study areas and new teaching lab.

E-Reserves Still Available

As you may know, UB's online courseware system, WebTycho has been having some problems recently. Some students have asked whether or not they could still get to their course reserve pages, since they may typically access their reserves through a link in Web Tycho.

It turns out that you can. If a professor has put items on reserves through Langsdale's E-RES system, you can access them anytime by using one of the "Course Reserves" links on Langsdale's website. Or you can bookmark the following link: http://webreserves.ubalt.edu/eres/courseindex.aspx?page=search
