Information Literacy Conference at UB
by Tami Smith
On March 10, The University of Baltimore Outcomes Assessment Committee
and the Langsdale Library will present the Conference on Information Literacy,
designed to make UB faculty and staff more aware of information literacy
and how it can be integrated into the curriculum. Presenters and panelists
are involved with information literacy initiatives at their institutions
and will provide practical insight into developing a successful information
literacy program.
The half day conference includes two presentations by USM librarians,
as well as a panel of faculty and librarians from UMBC and the Naval Academy.
Lucy Holman (Assistant Director, Langsdale Library) will moderate the
one-hour panel, and the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions.
For more information about the participants, please see the Presenter
Information page. Lunch will be provided following the morning presentations.
Faculty and staff, University administrators, and anyone interested
in assessment and successful student-learning outcomes should attend.
Please RSVP for the conference and for lunch by filling out the online
form. If you have already contacted Tami Smith, Instruction Coordinator,
there is no need to register again.
The conference will take place on March 10 from 8:30am - 1:30pm and
be held in Poe's Conference Room in the Angelos Law Center.
