Amazing But True
by Susan Wheeler
Did you know that Langsdale Library offers access to 11,900 electronic journal subscriptions in over 70 databases? Databases cover business, economics, finance, social sciences, humanities, statistics and more. New subscriptions are being added at every opportunity. Most recently the library has subscribed to the full text of 23 criminal justice journals published by Sage, covering such subjects as juvenile delinquency, juvenile justice, corrections, penology, policing, forensic psychology and domestic violence. Langsdale also provides full text articles from newspapers, such as the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Baltimore Sun, Washington Post and the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Date coverage in some resources, such as PsycInfo, can go back to 1887.
Publishers represented by our electronic subscriptions include Blackwell, the University of Chicago, Haworth, MIT Press, Harvard, M. E. Sharpe, Routledge, and Taylor and Francis.
How can you find these journals? Look for the button in the databases and (coming soon) in the library catalog.
