Jeffrey
Hutson, Reference Librarian
Jeffrey most recently worked as the religious studies librarian at The
Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Previous library experience
found Jeffrey as a reference/instruction librarian at the College of St.
Benedict/St. John’s University in Minnesota and as a senior library
assistant at the Noble Science & Engineering Library at Arizona State
University. He holds a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and an M.A.
degree in Theology from St. John’s University as well as an M.S.L.I.S.
from Simmons College in Boston.

Shawn has over nine years of experience in the Administration field and
most recently worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of
the IT Department at Baltimore Substance Abuse Systems, Inc. Currently,
Shawn is an undergrad at UMUC where her major is Business Administration.

Condolences
The
library staff extends its sympathy to Ann Carvel House,
who served as the librarian of the Steamship Historical Society Collection
at Langsdale until her retirement in 2003, on the death of her father.
Elbert Nortrand Carvel, who served two terms as governor of Delaware (from
1949-1953 and again from 1961-1965), died Feb. 6. A 1931 alumnus
of the UB School of Law, Governor Carvel was a Alumnus of the Year and
served on the University's Board of Directors when it was a private school.
