Historical Note:
The objectives of the Maryland Society of the War of 1812 are the collection and preservation of documents relating to the War of 1812, the encouragement of research and the preservation of historical data, and the care and maintenance of graves belonging to veterans of the War of 1812.
Custodial History:
The collection was donated to the University of Baltimore on January 2, 1990 by Wilson King Barnes, Jr.
