Tom earned his MA in History from the University of Maryland in 1990. Prior to coming to UB, he served as the archivist and records manager of the City of Baltimore. A dedicated historian and researcher of Maryland's Polonia, Tom has held leadership positions in the Polish Genealogical Society, the Polish Heritage Association of Maryland, and the Polish Nobility Association. He is the author of University of Baltimore and a coeditor of Baltimore '68: Riots and Rebirth in an American City and From Mobtown to Charm City: New Perspectives on Baltimore's Past

Phil graduated in 2007 with his MS in Information from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Prior to coming to UB, Phil was the archivist at the Iron Range Research Center in Chisholm, Minnesota and the archivist for digital projects and university records at Ball State University Libraries. He has experience working in the University of Michigan Libraries’ Papyrus Collection and the Bentley Historical Library's Michigan Historical Collections, University Archives, and Conservation Lab. He is the author of "The Digital Archivist: Looking Forward to Deliver the Past" in Indiana Libraries.

Aiden earned his MLS with a concentration in archives from the University of Maryland in 2008. He has worked on library and archives projects at the National Park Service, the University of Maryland Libraries, and the Baltimore City Archives. Currently, Aiden is conducting an oral history project on Baltimore's Station North Arts and Entertainment District. His research on African Americans and the 19th century religious publishing industry will appear in conjunction with the spring 2013 exhibit, Ashé to Amen, at the Museum of Biblical Art in New York.


staff photoJohn Mealey, executive director, Society of Colonial Wars 
John graduated from the University of Baltimore in 1994. He has served as UB's liaison to the General Society of Colonial Wars since 1998. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, John is the lead researcher on the society's comprehensive index of members and ancestor service histories. Recent publications include the General Society of Colonial Wars' Index of Ancestors and Roll of Members as well as Honoring Our Colonial History: Tablets, Monuments and Memorials Placed by the Society of Colonial Wars, 1892-2010.
