In the past, your writing may have been primarily for your teachers. Here at the University of Baltimore, you will be making the transition to writing for a larger audience. You'll be doing more specialized writing -- for business, science, politics, etc. -- depending on the course or your major.
Also, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and understanding of new ideas, whether you're interacting in a seminar, performing research, or working on projects that affect your community or local businesses.
As you hone your research and writing skills, you will see that your writing becomes a tool -- a way to enter the intellectual conversation that surrounds you.
