This collection consists primarily of four boxes of subject files on various aspects of employment pension benefits.
Historical Note:
The American Society of Pension Actuaries was founded in 1966 as a non-profit professional organization acting on behalf of actuaries policy. After 1984, the organization came to include advisors, attorneys, accountants and other financial services professionals in employer-based retirement systems and was renamed the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries. The society studies all aspects of employment pension systems to educate its membership and to improve and enhance the system of retirement benefits.
Custodial History:
The collection was donated to the University of Baltimore by James H. Pollard in April, 1984.
